Overview
An MTP®/MPO harness is a pre - fabricated solution that provides a convenient and organized way to manage multiple optical fiber connections. These harnesses are designed to simplify the installation, cabling, and maintenance of optical communication systems by reducing the complexity of individual fiber connections.
The precise alignment of fibers within the MTP®/MPO connectors and the protection provided by the harness jacket contribute to improved reliability. There is less risk of fiber damage or misalignment during installation and operation, resulting in more stable and consistent optical signal transmission.
MTP®/MPO harnesses offer a high - density connection solution, allowing many fibers to be terminated in a small space. In the FTTH network, it can serve as a key connection component in the optical distribution network (ODN), connecting the optical line terminal (OLT) at the central office end to the optical network unit (ONU) at the user end, providing users with high-speed broadband access services.
